An identity was created for a game lodge in Southern Africa.
Upon discussion, the meaning of the Zulu word Inyathi meant buffalo but the lodge itself did not have such animals; it was a natural decision not to promote a logo with an animal in it. Having seen the lodge first-hand was extremely advantageous as it had been decorated largely with patterns; from rugs, furniture, lamps; patterns were a major factor. The logo was kept to a minimum of typography and the use of patterns were taken advantage of to represent the overall feel of the lodge.
Some items were branded with the logo that the staff wore (hats, aprons, buffs) and general lodge utilities (enamel mugs, flasks, hot water bottles)
